Position Overview:
As a Data Engineering Lead at Spiro, you will lead a team of data engineers in building scalable data pipelines and processing frameworks. Collaborating with software and hardware teams, you will define strategies for data storage, transformation, and analysis. Your contributions will ensure effective data integration, governance, and security measures, driving data-driven insights and operational excellence.

Reports To: [Direct Supervisor/Manager]
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of data engineers in building scalable data pipelines and processing frameworks.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams for data integration and quality.
- Define strategies for data storage, transformation, and analysis.
- Implement data governance and security measures.
- Stay updated with emerging data engineering technologies and trends.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to the data engineering team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in designing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data processing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- Experience with big data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
- Familiarity with data modelling, warehousing, and database systems.
- Previous experience in leading data engineering teams is a plus.
- Spark certification for data engineering is required.
