As a Maps Architect at Spiro, you will be a part of our cutting-edge team working on location-based technologies that enhance the functionality of our clean energy mobility solutions. You will lead the software development team in designing and implementing location-based functionalities, collaborating with hardware and other software teams to integrate mapping solutions. Your role will involve defining strategies for navigation, route optimization, and geolocation services, as well as developing algorithms for efficient navigation and real-time traffic updates.
Title: Maps Architect
Reports To: [Direct Supervisor/Manager]
- Architect and design mapping solutions for our clean energy mobility technologies.
- Lead the software development team in designing and implementing location-based functionalities.
- Collaborate with hardware and other software teams to integrate mapping functionalities.
- Define strategies for navigation, route optimization, and geolocation services.
- Develop algorithms for efficient navigation and real-time traffic updates.
- Stay updated with emerging mapping technologies and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the software engineering team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development of mapping solutions.
- Proficiency in mapping APIs, geolocation services, route optimization algorithms.
- Strong understanding of mapping data formats, coordinates systems, GIS principles.
- Experience with geospatial databases, data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with real-time traffic data, navigation services.
- Previous experience in leading software development teams is a plus.
